From July 17 to 19, the selection competition for the 2024 China International College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (referred to as the “Competition” hereafter) was held at Yunnan Minzu University. With the theme “Dare to Explore, Dare to Create”, this year’s competition attracted over 55,000 projects and more than 280,000 participants from 88 schools across the province, setting a new record in participation scale. YUFE had 13 projects advance to the on-site selection competition in the Yunnan Division and ultimately secured 4 provincial gold awards and 9 silver awards.
Yang Ying, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office at YUFE, was invited to serve as a member of the Competition’s Supervisory Committee and also acted as a supervisor for the group and ranking matches held on-site.
In recent years, YUFE has placed a strong emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship education. By fostering a rich culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, creating a collaborative education system involving both the university and departments, improving the training system for innovation and entrepreneurship, optimizing guidance services for student innovators, and expanding practical training platforms, the university continues to cultivate innovative and entrepreneurial talents with an international perspective. Our efforts are aimed at promoting the transformation and application of innovative achievements within higher education.
